Sena (SCA M01) Prism Bluetooth Action Camera

            1. The Sena Prism is an ideal solution for the users who want to record their adventures while capturing their video and voice on-the-fly.
            2. The Sena Prism Bluetooth Action Camera is the first camera on the market that provides authentic Bluetooth technology.
            3. The Sena Prism is an ideal solution for the users who want to record their adventures while capturing their video and voice on-the-fly.
            4. The Sena Prism is the perfect addition to every adventurer with Bluetooth technology in action.
            5. Bluetooth Audio Recording (patent pending) up to 500 meters (540 yards) in open terrain.
            6. Quick and easy Bluetooth Remote Control using Bluetooth headsets.
            7. Unique QRMM (Quick Release Motorcycle Mount) system

Versatile microphone option: built-in microphone, Bluetooth headsets or Bluetooth microphones.

            8. Video mode: 1080p:30fps, 720p:30/60fps, 480p: up to 120fps.
            9. I have it mounted on the side of my helmet and it has a very low profile with a solid mount.
            10. This is why I favored this particular camera after lots of research.
            11. The quality of the video in HD is very crisp in daylight but I haven’t had a chance to rate night time quality.
            12. I’m not very happy with power performance which I’d have to attribute to the Prism because I purchased 4 Sena lithium batteries and all of them are completely drained by the prism within 25 to 30 minutes of use.
            13. The literature indicates the camera should be able to run 2 to 2 1/2 hours on one of these lithium batteries in HD quality.
            14. In a long riding situation you’d have to be replacing batteries constantly or hook the Prism to a dedicated power supply.
            15. Who likes riding with wires hanging off all their gear and then forgetting they’re hooked up when they go to dismount their bike?
            16. The reason I blame the camera is that I find it highly unlikely that 4 new Sena lithium batteries would all be faulty and run down that quickly.
            17. Sena definitely furnished plenty of mounting hardware with this camera which would just about allow it to be mounted anywhere.
            18. I have their SMH 10 Bluetooth headsets mounted in 4 helmets and was very happy with the performance Sena offered so I thought it would be equitable quality with the Prism camera.
            19. It feels like the beginning days of digital clocks when you could only go forward to change the time and it took forever to get the hours and minutes correct.
            20. If you bypassed the right numbers when they came up you had to start all over.
            21. It is fairly difficult with a bare hand while fumbling blindly alongside your helmet and the switches have to be depressed fairly vigorously.
            22. I honestly don’t think it could be done with riding gloves on.
            23. Most of the time I now turn the camera power on before putting the helmet on for riding.
            24. I know this sounds like the act of a person minus some intelligence but let’s be honest, who hasn’t accidentally left a lense cap on a camera at some point in time?
            25. I’ve already done this a few times because the blue tooth nonchalantly tells me I’m recording once I hit the record button.
            26. I want to keep my camera lense protected but this is making me feel like I should leave it off permanently.
            27. The software is sophisticated enough it could be taught to detect total blackout as a no-go situation thereby notifying the driver they really aren’t recording anything except pitch black.
            28. Some riders like to only record specific things when they ride.
            29. I use cameras mainly as a safety device to record full time riding activity in the event of an accident therefore I want my riding camera running all the time.
            30. I sincerely hope Sena will offer me some help in regard to this power situation with the Prism.
            31. I use it on my helmet and it is light weight and easy to use.
            32. This is my first video action camera so I can’t compare it with others but actually I am so satisfied with this camera there is no need.
            33. Connects with my Sena SMH10 and allows me to narrate, great.
            34. Bluetooth doesn’t play especially nice with my iPhone, but that may just be me as I’m still learning it.
            35. I do know music won’t play through from my iPhone when Prism connected.
            36. On my 1st ride, it was fully charged and on “time lapse” mode the entire time recording while connected to my SMH10.
            37. On my 2nd ride, it was fully charged and on “video” mode while connected to my SMH10.
            38. I recorded 3 videos of length 3 minutes, 15 minutes, and 6 minutes.
            39. For the last 4 minutes of my ride, my SMH10 told me 4 times “Prism low battery”.
            40. If I find out I have a defective battery and Sena takes care of me, that would make me move it up to 4 stars.
            41. I’d only give it 5 stars if I learn that I don’t have problems with multiple SMH10’s connected and working while the Prism is connected…and if my Phone is allowed to interrupt the Prism to give GPS directions.
            42. Sena support has since offered to send me a replacement battery if I give them copy of my receipt since it’s not lasting the 2 hours they advertise, so that’s good.
